Challenges and new perspectives for the maritime industry in Germany


The energy transition and digitalization are paving the way for rapid transformation in the maritime industry. This provides ample opportunity for innovation and new business development, but also several challenges to be overcome. How can cross-border cooperation between European stakeholders fasten the transition?

This two-day online webinar and workshop explores synergies and cooperation potential concerning green shipping and digitalization activities in Germany, Norway, and the Netherlands. Topics of the event will include production and transport of alternative fuels such as battery, hydrogen and methanol propulsion systems, safety and classification, financing and funding. Lighthouse projects from all three countries will be presented.

The event is aimed at shipping companies, shipyards, port operators, educational institutions, associations and clusters who would like to gain greater awareness and understanding of these topics and exchange ideas.
