France aims to develop the hydrogen value chain across the country, and both the national and regional levels prioritize the development of low-carbon hydrogen. In recent years, France has invested heavily in the advancement of the renewable sector, with offshore wind turbines being set up along the west coast and in the Mediterranean.
To accelerate the development of the hydrogen value chain, French companies seek to collaborate with Norwegian entities for technology development and value chain cooperation, especially through EU funds in Horizon Europe and Clean Hydrogen Partnerships.
