Future Fuel Competence in the Maritime Industry – One Ocean Week

  • Marineholmen Thormøhlensgate 49a Bergen (map)

Norway’s maritime industry is at the forefront of developing and adopting zero-emission fuels like hydrogen and ammonia. With new technologies comes the need for new skills and knowledge.

What training is essential for the green transition, and how must educational institutions adapt to meet the industry’s demand for expertise in hydrogen-based fuels?

Maritime CleanTech and Ocean Hyway Cluster are bringing together industry leaders and academia to tackle these questions during One Ocean Week in Bergen.

Note: This event will be held in Norwegian.

The event is sponsored by Vestland County Council.

5–11 April 2025, Bergen is the place to be for meetings, conferences, seminars and cultural events related to a sustainable future for our oceans.

One Ocean Week is set to become the annual international meeting point for the ocean we want. Official government, academic institutions and world-leading businesses take part in a whole week dedicated to the ocean and a sustainable future. One Ocean Week was first held in 2023 to mark the homecoming of the city’s proud sailing vessel Statsraad Lehmkuhl when the ship came back after almost two years of circumnavigating the globe on its One Ocean Expedition.
