TØI performs research in the maritime transport sector, with one example of a current project being the enabling Zero Emission passenger Vessel Services (ZEVS) project. This aims to help authorities map where zero emission solutions for passenger vessels are most suitable and how costs are distributed, and is based on models for energy/emission calculations and cost optimization developed in-house.
