Acceleration of hydrogen projects through a new database of suppliers
Ocean Hyway Cluster has recently launched a new interactive map and database of suppliers. The background for this database is that many projects in the hydrogen value chain are soon to be in a construction and realisation phase. Actors are currently looking for suppliers who can deliver products certified for hydrogen (ex-classified equipment in hydrogen risk area). The recently launched database gives an overview of suppliers (mostly Norwegian), that can deliver explosion-proof equipment, where the goal is to help accelerate hydrogen projects.
Hydrogen products categorised in 10 different filters
The database consists of many different products across the hydrogen value, where the products have been categorised in 10 filters:
Electrolysers
Fuel Cells
Hydrogen combustion engines
Hydrogen electric propulsion system
Compressed hydrogen tanks
Liquid hydrogen tanks
Regulators
System integrator
Piping, pumps, valves, fittings, boosters etc.
Ventilation equipment
Over 30 suppliers of hydrogen products – Do you know who they are? Find out here!
The main focus has been to identify the Norwegian suppliers, but we have also included some important suppliers in Europe. By now over 30 suppliers are included in the database and it keeps growing. In the immediate future we will mainly focus on identifying more Norwegian suppliers, and gradually include more from the European market.
As shown in figure 1, it is possible to click on the small black arrow at the bottom of the screen to get all the suppliers listed in a spreadsheet. This makes the database user friendly, by allowing the user to choose how they wish to have the information presented. The suppliers listed in a spreadsheet are shown in the figure below.
