Breaking records at Nor-Shipping

Nor-Shipping was really the place to be last week! A week packed with networking, conferences and valuable dialogues with key players within the hydrogen industry.

Last week over 50 000 people gathered in Lillestrøm, Norway, for one of the world’s most recognized meeting places for strategic deal-making. The Nor-Shipping visitors were met with over 890 company stands and plenty of networking events including Ocean Hyway Cluster’s own hydrogen conference.

Record turnout for hydrogen

The shipping + hydrogen combo was clearly intriguing for the Nor-Shipping participants as over 350 people joined the hydrogen conference on 7th of June. Toyota Motor Europe’s Thiebault Pâquet kickstarted the conference before other pinoeering hydrogen players gave us the latest insight. You are more than welcome to watch the recording of the 2023 edition of the conference here:

The conference was made possible through a close cooperationbetween Ocean Hyway Cluster, Maritime CleanTech and Nor-Shipping! Big thank you to all speakers, panellists, moderators, and technicians who contributed.

Sunny rooftop

The conversation kept going later in the afternoon at our Sosial get-together with Selmer. The weather in Oslo was amazing and networking on a rooftop terrasse at Tjuvholmen was the ideal way to round of a day packed with inspiration.

What’s next?

If you are inspired to hear more from pioneering hydrogen players, Ocean Hyway Cluster is hosting the 8th Maritime Hydrogen Conference on 1- 2 November. This year the theme for the conference is “Solving the Biggest Barriers”. A preliminary agenda is published on our website, feel free to check it out!

Make sure to also save the dates 2-6 June 2025 for the next Nor-Shipping. It will be their 60th anniversary so it will garanteely be one of the “you have to be there” moments!
