- We will be a forceful voice

Ocean Hyway Cluster doubles the effort on communication due to rapid membership growth: - We will be a forceful voice on behalf of the hydrogen and ammonia industry.

Maria Benæs Hunvik (to the left) and Siri Odijk Solbakken are forming the new communication team in Ocean Hyway Cluster.

Siri Odijk Solbakken and Maria Benæs Hunvik are now forming a new communication team in Ocean Hyway Cluster. The new team is now rolling up their sleeves:

- We will be a forceful voice on behalf of the hydrogen and ammonia industry, highlighting issues that are important to our members, says Siri Odijk Solbakken.

The goal is clear:

- Our goal is to make sure politicians and the mass media knows how important hydrogen and related support schemes are. Through regular dialogue with the right people, we will contribute to emission-free vessels soon becoming common in Norway! says Solbakken enthusiastically.

Groundbreaking work

The other half of the communication team, Maria Hunvik sees many advantages of being two:

- We will work in many different communication channels in a targeted manner to highlight our members and strengthen the cluster. During the last year, we have created graphics and produced a video to build a solid foundation for visual marketing. Expanding the communication team gives us the opportunity to work on several initiatives and give our members even more exposure in the future.

The new CEO of the cluster, Kristin Svardal, explains why the cluster will be even more focused on communication:

CEO Kristin Svardal believes communication is key.

- Our network has more than doubled in a few years and now holds more than 130 member companies. Many of them are doing groundbreaking work and want our help to spread the good news to the public. By doubling the communication team we will make sure the good news reaches as many as possible. We will also have the resources to give our members advice on communication when needed, says Svardal.

Two familiar faces

Solbakken and Hunvik are two familiar faces for the member companies. While Solbakken was on paternity leave, Hunvik was her substitute. Now they are excited to both have fixed positions in the cluster.

We will have a close collaboration on communication, but some work tasks will still have a natural distribution. Siri has a background in politics and will have the main responsibility for strategic communication, while I have a background in graphic design and will produce material that the organization uses at trade fairs, events and digital surfaces, Hunvik ends.
