Flying start for the Retrofit-project in Bergen
On November 22nd 18 participants and partners gathered in Bergen for a kick-off of the Retrofit-project
Partners from the whole value chain of hydrogen, ammonia and the maritime industry was gathered to learn more about the project and to influence the different aspects of the study. The session was an all-day event, and the agenda was to give a thorough introduction to the different sub-projects, performance goals and execution.
The study is looking into how retrofit of Platform Supply Vessels can reduce emissions in the maritime industry. Greensight and the project partners will answer several questions and issues related to the whole value chain for hydrogen and ammonia.
Ocean Hyway Cluster led the arrangement, well supported by Greensight, which is a major contributor to the project analysis and execution.
There were a lot of interesting discussions, and the participants were eager to contribute to ensure a good start and execution. The event was divided into two parts: practical information and group work. For the group work session, the partners were divided into groups according to the respective sub-projects. There were a lot of good feedback on how to narrow the scope, what assumptions one should base on, and how to retrieve necessary information.
The next step for the study is a workshop for the sub-project “retrofit of a PSV” to be carried out. The meeting is scheduled in week 50.
A major thanks to all who participated in the kick-off.
