Norway’s future hydrogen hubs

Ocean Hyway Cluster has mapped the latest hydrogen infrastructure initiatives along the Norwegian coast as part of its HyInfra project.

Heat-map of maritime hydrogen infrastructure.

36 infrastructure and 38 vessel initiatives stretching the entire Norwegian coastline

The latest interactive map, created as part of the HyInfra project, shows planned production of hydrogen-based fuels in Norway broken down by fuel type. The new map provides a unique opportunity for members to get an overview of everything maritime hydrogen-related happening in Norway right now, as well as hinting towards where future hydrogen hubs will (most likely) be located. The map also shows bunkering locations and ongoing vessel projects with more detailed information.

Why now?

Enova’s new competition “Hydrogen til maritim transport” will grant two to four projects up to 150MNOK each. The projects will produce hydrogen from renewable energy and the deadline for applications is 22.04.2022 10:00 CET.

Exclusive access to members of Ocean Hyway Cluster

A heat-map of hydrogen infrastructure in Norway is publicly available on our website. Through our members area, members of Ocean Hyway Cluster get access to infrastructure map with detailed information about planned production.

Ocean Hyway Cluster’s HyInfra

HyInfra is a project led by Ocean Hyway Cluster with an overall goal of reducing uncertainty related to future hydrogen infrastructure projects within the maritime industry. The project began in January 2020, and HyInfra 3.0 is a continuation of earlier work. HyInfra 3.0 consists of 5 work packages, and this interactive map is a key part of work package 2.
