The first Chilean-Norwegian GREEN Hydrogen Forum consists of a two-day e-event and will serve as an arena for kicking off the collaboration between the two countries in this respect.
Key enabler of decarbonization
In the global energy transition, green hydrogen will be a key enabler of decarbonization of several industries such as transportation and mining. With its extensive and competitive access to renewable energy, Chile is especially well-positioned for the emerging hydrogen economy. Chile’s favorable circumstances are driving the country’s ambitions to become the supplier of world’s most competitive hydrogen and the third largest exporter of this energy carrier.
Arena for collaboration
The Chilean-Norwegian GREEN Hydrogen Forum will serve as an arena for kicking off the collaboration between the two countries. The event will share updates within policies, regulations, finance, technologies and innovation through a dialog among representatives of government, industries and business sectors of both countries to find common targets and challenges that can be tackled through international collaboration.
This two-day virtual event aims at presenting how Chile intends to develop, use and export green hydrogen promoting the optimized use of its powerful renewables industry while at same time showcasing the experience and capabilities in Norway which has positioned the country at the forefront of designing pathways for the energy transition.
