Kickstarting 2021 with a clear commitment to sustainability

Ocean Hyway Cluster is beginning 2021 with a brand-new webpage which demonstrates the cluster’s commitment to sustainability.

Companies in the hydrogen value chain are developing solutions for the future. These will contribute significantly to reducing CO2 emission, making clean energy accessible and creating sustainable communities. In other words, the industry is important for achieving several of the UN’s sustainability goals. Ocean Hyway Cluster (OHC) recognises the 17 UN’s Sustainable Development Goals as the international blueprint to achieving a better and more sustainable future for all. The goal of OHC is both to ensure that the cluster itself works in a sustainable way and collaborating with stakeholders across the whole hydrogen value chain to pursue these goals together.

5 main goals

Ocean Hyway Cluster has today launched its first sustainability webpage. Here you can see how the cluster works with the UN’s sustainability goals right now:

OHC hopes to maximise its impact by focusing resources on five main goals.

The webpage is the first step in a process where OHC will develop a sustainability strategy for the cluster, putting in place practices to ensure sustainability is at the heart of everything it does, and regularly measure the results to constantly improve.
