Launches report: Great opportunities in France

With great climate ambitions and billions in earmarked funds for green transition, France is sailing up to becoming a very attractive nation to work with. Innovation Norway have just launched an exciting report on the opportunities in France for Norwegian companies.

France has set very high ambitions for its energy transition and climate emissions reductions. The country has banned all new oil and gas exploration and made legally binding commitments to reducing its energy consumption from fossil sources by 40% by 2030. France commits to fully decarbonise its transportation sector by 2050. France is a major maritime nation and has the largest number of navigable waterways in Europe, but a very outdated fleet of ferries and barges. The energy and climate transition will necessarily involve a major transformation of the shipping and ferries markets. This represents significant opportunities for collaboration and export for Norwegian companies.
