Youngsters interested in hydrogen

The future is promising when young people show interest in zero emission solutions. During yesterday’s Ocean Technology Open Day Event in Florø, one of the young participants was more than normal interested in hydrogen vessels.

Ingrid Hovden (15) is in grade 9 at the local school and works with a project on hydrogen for propulsion of vessels. She asked for more information and showed up at Ocean Hyway Cluster office today. – I live on an island and therefore the sea is part of everyday life for me, says Ingrid. – It is important to reduce emissions and I want to contribute in my way, starting by gaining knowledge about the topic, she adds.

Ingrid interviewed Trond Strømgren, our Senior Advisor Renewable Energy and Hydrogen Value Chain. – I am very happy for the opportunity to have dialogue with aspiring youngsters like Ingrid, says Strømgren. – She asked very relevant questions and I hope she will be part of the professional teams that will further develop the maritime hydrogen solutions we are implementing today, he ended.
