Siv Remøy-Vangen is our new board leader and the Managing Director of Maritime Bergen. She has a bachelor in International Business Management and an Execute MBA with a specialization in Offshore and Maritime.

Being able to participate in the development of something brand new, that can set a new green direction for Norway and the west-coast, is a journey and opportunity that is too good to pass. So, when Stein called it was an easy decision to take on the role as the new board leader/chairman of the board at Ocean Hyway Cluster.

Initially I look forward getting an overview of all the good work, in depth analysis and potential projects and initiatives the cluster has identified and worked on. Going forward the board, together with the CEO,  shall set direction and strategies that underpins the purpose of the cluster and the next growth phase.

Shipping and the maritime industry is in the midst of a complete transformation. Not only are we going to reduce our carbon footprint to meet new environmental requirements, both nationally and internationally, we also need to build a sustainable transport solution for the whole maritime industry. Hydrogen based fuel, both green and blue, is one of the alternatives enroute decarbonized shipping, so needless to say that I’m very excited to get onboard.

We would like to say thank you for the great work that our old board has done, and we are looking forward to working with our new board.
