Zero Emission Tug
Stadt Sjøtransport and Ocean Hyway Cluster has been granted pre-project funding from FORREGION Vestland to look at zero-emission solutions for a tug / barge.
Two scopes will be investigated:
Scope 1: Energy system on-board the tug.
Scope 2: Energy system on-board the barge. Hydrogen components are placed in swappable containers and mounted on the barge. The tug operating as a push-tug and are physically connected to the barge. Electric cables transfer energy from the fuel cell container to the tug.
Players:
Ship operator: Stadt Sjøtransport
Vessel Designer: Marine Design
The research institutes SINTEF Ocean and IFE
Initiator and coordinator Ocean Hyway Cluster
