Archer Engineering has joined Ocean Hyway Cluster
Archer Engineering provides services within conceptual design – and front-end engineering studies. Their services also include detailed engineering, construction work packaging and system integration for equipment packages, products, and technology. They have over 50 years’ experience in complex engineering and project management, focusing on lean and efficient solutions, and offer world-wide support from their offices in Norway, UK and Poland.
Eager to know more about Archer’s primary focus at this moment we reached out to Martin Nilsen, Business Development Manager in Archer Engineering:
Archer has a strong commitment to support the energy transition for each of our business lines. Within Engineering we support the other Archer business divisions’ initiatives towards the energy transition.
Externally, we are already offering energy management and low carbon solutions to support our clients’ emission reduction initiatives. We have also taken a step into renewables, as we are currently delivering engineering support within a specific offshore wind installation concept.
We focus on transferring our core competency and capabilities towards green energy, thus further reinforcing our efforts to provide services within renewables and low carbon segments.
With our engineering offices in Norway, UK and Poland, combined with our experience and references within studies, engineering and project management – we are scaled to support the renewables market at any clients’ needs, says Martin Nilsen, Business Development Manager in Archer Engineering.

Why did Archer want to become a member of the cluster?
Archer has defined Hydrogen to be one of our key markets to further develop our Engineering services. That is, because our competencies and capabilities are highly transferrable to the Hydrogen-segment. We are specialists in multi-discipline concept engineering, and in the integration of technology and products and hence, we are able to support the maturation and the expansion of the Hydrogen development.
This is a market that we believe will grow and expand significantly in the future, both locally but also at a wider global scale. Thus, it became natural for us to join the cluster, as we will be able to network, collaborate and co-operate with other players having common goals to develop the Hydrogen market.
